The Government of UAE requires all educational/Personal certificates, professional or academic, issued from India to be attested by the Indian Embassy/Consulate in UAE for further attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of UAE Government before grant of UAE Visa.

UAE Embassy (India) attests three types of documents:

  • Educational Documents
  • Non-educational documents
  • Commercial Documents

Every category of document is having specific attestation process. To make it simpler below is a brief guideline for UAE attestation:

UAE Attestation Process:

Educational Documents

Step 1: First document must be pre-authenticated from respective state HRD

Step 2: After Pre-authentication of document Ministry of External affairs (MEA) will attest the document

Step 3: Finally, UAE Embassy will attest the document.

Personal / Non- Educational Documents

Step 1: First document must be pre-authenticated from respective state Home Department

Step 2: After Pre-authentication of document Ministry of External affairs (MEA) will attest the document

Step 3: Finally, UAE Embassy will attest the document.

Commercial Documents

Step 1: Firstly, Chamber of Commerce will attest the document

Step 2: After Chamber of commerce attestation Ministry of External affairs (MEA) will attest the document

Step 3: Finally, UAE Embassy will attest the document.

Personal Document Attestation for UAE

All Personal/Non Educational certificates have to be pre authenticated first from concerned home department. Usually Home department certificate attestation is done by respective states itself. After the HD Attestation, the required Embassy Attestation is carried out.

Educational Documents Attestation for UAE

All Educational certificates have to be pre authenticated first from HRD. Usually HRD certificate attestation is done by respective states itself. After the HRD Attestation, the required Embassy Attestation is carried out.

UAE Embassy/Consulate Attestation

When a person from India goes abroad for job his certificates has to be authenticated by that country's embassy or consulate in India. Since there are many Indians working in GCC countries - Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA), and United Arab Emirates (UAE) it is necessary for them to attest their documents in corresponding foreign embassy or consulate in Delhi or Mumbai. For Embassy/consulate attestation, original document needs to be preauthenticated first from respective home department / HRD / Notary / Mantralya and Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.
